A work permit gives the right to conclude an employment contract. Obtaining a work visa entitles entering the country. A work visa is issued for the period of validity of a work permit or other supporting documents. A visa can be obtained at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the country of citizenship or in the country of permanent residence with the provision of supporting documents. Also, a visa can be issued on the territory of Kazakhstan for citizens of 48 developed countries who have entered under a visa-free regime. There is an option to transfer a visa from business to work without leaving the country. Not every business visa can be changed to a work visa.
