In recent years, in Kazakhstan, more and more efforts and attention from the state are paid to the development of small and medium-sized businesses. It has become much easier to open and run a business in Kazakhstan today than it was several years ago. Hence the increased interest of foreigners in doing business on the territory of our country.
Today it is illegal for foreigners to engage in entrepreneurial activity without obtaining an appropriate visa. So, in accordance with subparagraph 2 of paragraph 2 of article 40 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On migration of the population”, foreigners who have not received a visa to enter as business immigrants are prohibited from being founders and participants of commercial organizations.
Single entry is issued for up to 90 days, multiple entry – up to 2 years, ethnic Kazakhs – up to 3 years. The period of stay is allowed for the entire duration of the visa.
So, according to clause 31 of Appendix 1 to the above Rules, a visa intended for entry as a business immigrant is a C5 visa and it is issued by foreign missions of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of an invitation with the following documents:
2) a medical certificate confirming the absence of diseases, the presence of which prohibits entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) medical insurance;
4) certificates of no criminal record;
5) certificates on the absence of a ban on entrepreneurial activity on the basis of a court decision.
A business immigrant, within two months from the date of entry into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is obliged to:
