Qazaqstan resumes flights to the UAE, Belarus, Germany, the Netherlands, Egypt, Ukraine and the Russian Federation from August 17. Thus, citizens of the above countries, along with citizens of the PRC, Japan, Korea, Thailand and Georgia, can enter the territory of the Republic of Qazaqstan without an entry permit.
The corresponding decision was made on August 11 by the interdepartmental commission to prevent the emergence and spread of coronavirus infection, taking into account the epidemiological situation according to the map of the World Health Organization.
Qazaqstan has resumed international flights to some countries since August 17, the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development Industry said.
“From August 17, 2020, international flights to the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Belarus, Germany, the Netherlands, Egypt, Ukraine and the Russian Federation will be gradually resumed,” the ministry said in a statement. The corresponding decision was made on August 11 by the interdepartmental commission to prevent the emergence and spread of coronavirus infection, taking into account the epidemiological situation according to the map of the World Health Organization.
At the same time, as specified in the information, the agreement of Qazaqstan with the aviation authorities of these countries is “preliminary”. “These countries support the resumption of flights with Qazaqstan in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements (thermometer, social distancing, mask mode, PCR testing),” the ministry explained.
“At the same time, a permit from the Russian side is required to fly to Russia,” the press release says. The number of flights will be operated on the basis of existing intergovernmental agreements on air services and depending on the payload of aircraft on each route. Meanwhile, Qazaqstani Air Astana reported on its website that the company will resume direct flights from Almaty to Dubai from 17 August. It is planned to operate three flights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. For visitors and for persons with a residence permit in the UAE, it is necessary to have a PCR certificate with a negative result for COVID-19 in English or Arabic. However, the passenger will have to undergo another PCR test for COVID-19 upon arrival at the airport and must stay at home until the test result is released. If the test is positive, the passenger should be isolated and follow the guidelines of the Dubai Health Authority, the information says.
Also, the passenger must have medical insurance valid for use in the UAE and covering the costs in case of a positive COVID-19 test. This requirement applies to all UAE citizens, residents, tourists, passengers arriving in or transiting through Dubai.
